I wanted to dedicate this post to one of my great friends, and a soon to be fellow contributing blogger. Since becoming friends with her, I have noticed that she is a superbly talented photographer. I feel as though she does not take her “photographer artist” self too seriously, which is great because it only adds to her eminence. It was a challenge trying to select a few photographs from her flickr account today as there were many great ones, but overall I recollected a powerful emotional response.
In general, her pictures are simple in composition and color, but they emanate a heartfelt interior that is hard to describe in words. Subject matter wise, her photos seem to be built around the idea of a dome, a sense of security and of family, an almost utopia like setting narrated through a juxtaposing set of colors and high contrast that make me long to see more…I hope you will be able to use this blog, this template, to freely express yourself in unbound restrictions, more from Uyanga coming soon.
