It started with color

Julian Louie is an original, an architect-turned-fashion-designer whose collection, unlike most, draw inspiration from basic conceptual roots as opposed to far-flung narratives of – a story about Jane and her lover. His designs are largely influenced by his architectural background, evident in his origami like pleats, deconstruction of form, and use of color blocks. His designs seem to be at odds with themselves, but the beauty lies there, and maintains tranquility through a unifying symmetrical essence. Symmetry is also apparent in the geometric labyrinth of Mark Warren Jacques, a US based artist whose paintings of geometric forms and near perfect proportions communicate a message that is out of this world. Almost like hieroglyphic icons in teleportation from one plane to another. Put two and two together, and the results are explosive. Here is the brand new Fall 2011 Julian Louie collection, in likeliness to a select few from MWJ ►
