Russian graphic designer Ruslan Khasanov created his own typeface called ‘au revoir’, or ‘liquid font’ by pouring wet ink on wet paper to form each letter and then shot nearly 600 digital photos using some sort of macro lens. After selecting the best images he makes a few color corrections in Photoshop and the typeface was born. I especially like his animated gif stills, you can really get a full glimpse of his process – the letters almost look like particles of brain matter, talk about creative fonts! see his entire project here.
