Snakes are just about the scariest most beautiful creatures I know. But Guido Mocafico shoot these creatures in an especially motion-less state. I’m not a big fan of still photography, but Mocafico’s gorgeous “Serpent” photographic series maintain a unique sensibilities. His subject matter is varied, but the style remains the same: like hyper realistic painting composed to the last inch. He shoots everything on a black background to accent focus on his subject. With a background in architecture, he continues to explore the scientific and geometric aesthetics in nature. Even with a mundane subject matter like snakes, Mocafico brings them to life in their array of reptilian patterns.
