Five things

As the weather gets colder, I’m sure we’re all wearing warmer clothes than usual.
My five favorite sources of warm in the form of clothes are, in no particular order:

Leg Warmers
Hats
Grandpa Sweaters
Scarves
Boots

-I usually wear my legwarmers on days where its warm enough to wear tights, but cold enough to want a little extra warmth.

-Hats are a must because I always leave the house in the morning with wet hair. I don’t want to catch a head-cold, so I wear a hat. The type of hat varies from beanie to fedora to bucket hat.

-Grandpa Sweaters are by far my favorite item on this list. For some reason, these types of sweaters make me feel comforted and happy. I prefer wearing real men’s sweaters because I’ve noticed that women’s sweaters are generally very thin and not warm at all. Men’s sweaters are thick and tight woven, perfect for cold weather.

-Scarves are a staple in my wardrobe. First, I tend to get sore throats if I let cold air hit my neck. Second, scarves are a great way to dress up and change any outfit. Just pick a scarf with a cool pattern or color. Scarves are great to test out a new pattern or color that you may like, because you can wear it with anything, and if you feel like you may have second thoughts about that color or pattern, you can just take it off and tuck it into your bag or something.

-Boots are my favorite kind of footwear. There are so many ways you can go with boots. My personal favorites are army boots or short suede cowboy boots. Other favorites are riding boots and mukluks. The temperature of my feet seems to dictate the temperature of the rest of my body, so when my feet are warm and toasty in this cold weather, I’m happy.

  1. Well, hell. This is what comes of blogging. You told me about the print I liked, I check it out, there’s ONE LEFT, and my brain goes into bariagn bin autopilot and the next thing I know, I’ve got a print. Then I check out your blog, see a post with pretty dresses, and the next thing I know, I’ve got a dress.Fortunately, I only feel blows to my wallet quickly and briefly (THANK YOU).
