Karmic acts of everyday kindness

Week of Kindness to Ourselves

We often find some difficulty in caring for themselves, in receiving love, in believing they deserve to be happy. Developing care towards ourselves with the power of concentration is the first objective, the foundation for later being able to include others and finally all of life in the sphere of kindness. Spend some time consciously reflecting on the good you’ve done, or a good quality you have tomorrow.

Forrest Gump (1994) by Robert Zemeckis

“There is no need to build a labyrinth when the entire universe is one.” -Jorgel Luis Borges

Hearsay of the Soul: Seger’s images are hearsay of the soul. They are like flashlights held in our uncertain hands, a frightened light that opens breaches into the recesses of a place that seems somewhat known to us our selves. We morph with these images. Casper David Friedrich recognized this for himself: “I have to render myself to what surrounds me,” he said. “I have to morph into a union with the clouds and the rocks, in order to be what I am.” -Werner Herzog

Herzog has said of Segers, “his landscapes are not landscapes at all, they are states of mind, full of angst, desolation, solitude, a state of dreamlike vision, ” these images create, for Herzog, “an illumination inside of us, and we instantly know that this is not a factual truth, but an ecstatic one.”
