I am loving Mathilde Roussel‘s art. Each one of her series exemplify a certain depth and an organic exploration that comment objectively and symbolically about the cyclic metamorphose of physical life and the inevitability of decay. Her diverse exploration and attention to material is valuable, visit her site for more of her work! I am especially in awe of her carbon rubber sculptures from her “Carbon” series consisting of pieces made from a combination of rubber, cut paper, and graphite creating masterfully composed anthropomorphic portraits of textured weight or maybe…melted metal jackets.
