Alicia Eggert was once chased by a rabid groundhog. Her favorite meal is fried chicken, pickles, mustard and honey on a hot, buttermilk biscuit. Her artwork primarily take the form of kinetic, electronic and interactive sculptures that are firmly rooted in design; focusing on the relationship between language, image and time.
Eggert trades in what could be thought of as chronological negative space, exploring the aesthetics of time and the nature of anticipation through words and messages in motion. Similarly, the many found and frozen moments of anticipation in her photographs help move the rest of the story into a whole. Its All The Time all the time.
