she pulls by pushing

I came across the very talented French illustrator Marion Fayolle a while back and kept track of her work ever since. Sometimes funny, sometimes poignant, sometimes light, and sometimes deeply philosophical, her beautiful wordless narratives are anything but silent capturing the complex bonds in human nature. Each story delineates from another resembling an episodic montage whose intriguing narratives fuse together the disjointed pieces of the world into a cohesive story. Without the aid of panels, speech bubbles, or backgrounds, there remains the tenderly illustrated, meticulously textured, neatly arranged figures who explore the microcosm of human relations through subtle yet expressive body language that whispers to the back of the mind.
