Warm Cookies of the Revolution has a wonderful a Video Community Almanac series – a collection of wisdom, art, music, stories from the metro Denver community centered around a theme + social concern.

Their Fall almanac theme is Branches (tree) + Food Justice / Food Systems. They gather knowledge from community organizations that advocate for farmers & food security in Denver in combination with art & music from local artists.

I contributed my “Tears of the Sky” stop motion animation for the project (11:18 mark). Tears of the Sky animation is about the the story of the marginal identity using elements of traditional Mongolian folklore and Buddhist mythology. Also want to give a huge thanks to Set Hernandez, a dear friend and founder of the Undocumented Film Collective for featuring my animation in the 2021 Philadelphia Asian American Film Festival running November 4th – 14th.
