2024/25 BRIClab Video Art Residency: Screening & Talkback

Get ready for an unforgettable evening as we honor the brilliant 2024-25 residents with a screening of their films followed by an engaging artist talkback session moderated by Tanika Williams.

This year’s cohort has pushed the boundaries of creativity, harnessing the full range of BRIC’s production and post-production classes and resources to craft captivating works-in-progress. This group of 7 incredibly talented artists have immersed themselves in production classes, collaborated with professional mentors, engaged in lively social gatherings and critiques, and utilized our top-tier camera equipment and studios to bring their visions to life.

BRIC will be screening all the artist pieces including my project “EnterExit: Animated Immigrant Stories” on their BFS HD channel online. You can also see the projects in person at BRIC Project Room running from Jan 27 – May 16, 2026.

Sending endless gratitude to the incredible Skyelar, David, and BRIC for this first residency opportunity in Brooklyn since moving to NYC. Thank you for the inspiring community, thoughtful education and unwavering support in helping me grow and develop my art practice!

    1. Dear Joshua,

Thank you so much for reading and for your continual support of my journey. I miss you and often think of you. Thank you as well for the kind sentiments about my family and parents. I get my faith and devotion from my parents and my culture so your words hold deep resonance for me, thank you.

How interesting the small yet expansive universe we live in and the parallel synchronicities that weave our paths together. I will never forget my time at Shambhala working with you and all the divine magic that has sparked since.

You will always hold a special place in my heart, and I look forward to the day our paths cross again in divine timing. Sending love, light, and infinite blessings to you and your family.

      Love & Respect,
      Eriko ✨
